Pertamina And Sonatrach Signed a Contract of Cooperation

Jakarta (Benchmark News) – PT Pertamina (Persero) and the Algerian STATE-OWNED petroleum, Sonatrach, agreed on a memorandum of understanding for business cooperation increased oil and natural gas.

A partnership that includes the sectors upstream or downstream oil and gas, is a continuation of the agreement already reached the two companies by 2012.

The largest contribution to the production of overseas asset Pertamina, sourced from Iraq with the level of production net to share 43.7 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day. In follow Algeria with production net to share amounted to 41.13 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, and Malaysia 35.77 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Armed with this memorandum of understanding, Pertamina and Sonatrach will do the analysis and evaluation of the top production exploration opportunities both in Algeria, Indonesia, and other countries.

“Pertamina and Sonatrach also have opportunities to participate in projects upstream, downstream, and oil and gas services in both countries,” Dwi said.

Some other cooperation opportunities also was lodged with the exchange of information, such as the natural gas industry and its derivatives, including cooperation in the field of LNG, business of crude oil, condensate, LPG, petrochemical, oil & gas marketing and optimization. (Red)
